Tried to make chana masala for the first time according to the directions on the back of the spice box. It was edible, but definitely will do it differently next time. Added way too much seasoning, and too much tomato paste — only need to add 1/2 a can at best. most likely, just enough tomato sauce to turn it red. It turned out to be too hot and too tomatoey.
But it was still good.
Served it with brown rice — note, when using the rice cooker, more water has to be added because it’s not a sealed container in the rice cooker. Brown rice is good and doesn’t get mushy, but it does take longer to cook.
