Hamburger from Daddy’s Birthday Celebration 20120226
Hamburgers today – 20120227. Top Left – Mushroom burger with bacon, jalapeno jack cheese, and caramelized onions. Top Right – Club Hamburger with jalapeno jack cheese, bacon, leaf lettuce, tomato, red onion, mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise.
No recipe used. Caramelized the onions with olive oil for ~30 min, the mushrooms with butter ~ 20 minutes. Cooked bacon for ~ 18 min at 415 – 425 F. Cooked patties for about 10 min each on both sides on pan. Didn’t handle them, just sprinkled Tony Chacere’s Creole seasoning generously on both sides.
Don’t oversalt the onions and mushrooms.
Hill Country Fries were good — just make sure that the oil is hot enough to truly fry them.
