After extensive research, I still went the easy way to make poutine. Again, I forgot to photograph.
Ingredients:
Store bought fries — deep fried in hot oil for ~5 minutes.
Brown turkey gravy – whisked into chicken broth (water will do)
Queso Fresco – cubed
The result is a decent poutine like dish. Gravy is good, but queso fresco doesn’t melt. So it’s not quite poutine, but I still think it’s tasty. It would be nice to get some actual cheese curds, but I can’t seem to find any. I would make this again, but no one else seemed to like it as much as I did.
